Amazon has announced that it is ready to begin rolling out its satellite broadband service, Amazon Leo, following the successful deployment of over 390 satellites in orbit. The latest launch, executed by United Launch Alliance, added 29 satellites to the existing constellation, which is now the third largest in space. Chris Weber, the vice president of business and product for Amazon Leo, indicated that the company has completed sufficient satellite launches to initiate service this year, although further work remains to position the satellites at their designated altitudes.
