Emirates Airlines has taken a significant step in modernizing its payment options by integrating Crypto.com Pay for eligible flight bookings made by UAE residents. This new feature allows customers with a Crypto.com account to complete transactions in AED directly through the Emirates website and mobile application. For desktop users, the process involves scanning a QR code on the booking page, while mobile users can access their Crypto.com wallet to finalize payments before receiving booking confirmation on the Emirates platform. This initiative is the result of a memorandum of understanding signed between Emirates and Crypto.com in July 2025, aimed at enhancing the airline's digital payment capabilities.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized that this initiative aligns with the airline's commitment to expanding payment options for travelers. He noted that it caters to a younger, tech-savvy demographic that increasingly manages their finances and travel plans through mobile devices. Eric Anziani, President and COO of Crypto.com, remarked on the partnership as a significant milestone, highlighting the ease of use and seamless integration that Crypto.com Pay offers to Emirates' customers.

The integration is powered by Crypto.com’s Dubai entity, which has positioned itself as a leader in the region's digital finance landscape by becoming the first Virtual Asset Service Provider to obtain a Stored Value Facilities license from the Central Bank of the UAE. This regulatory approval underscores the UAE's commitment to fostering innovation in financial technology and digital payments, positioning itself as a hub for fintech development in the Gulf region.
