Fincart, an Egypt-based e-commerce operations platform, has successfully closed an oversubscribed Seed funding round, securing $2.8 million to accelerate its growth in the MENA and African markets. The round was co-led by Launch Africa and Antler MENAP, with participation from various regional investors including Yango Ventures and Five35 Ventures. Founded in 2023 by Mostafa Masry and Nihal Ali, Fincart is designed to streamline operational processes for e-commerce merchants, offering an AI-powered platform that integrates shipping, customer engagement, and cash advances into a single interface. Currently, the platform connects over 450 merchants to more than 40 courier services across Africa, facilitating nearly EGP 1 billion in gross merchandise value.

The fresh capital will be allocated towards enhancing Fincart's AI capabilities, expanding its workforce, and strengthening strategic partnerships, all aimed at bolstering its presence in the competitive e-commerce landscape. The startup has demonstrated impressive organic growth, with nearly 40% of its acquisitions stemming from referrals and no marketing expenditure over the past three years. This growth underscores the platform's strong product-market fit and the operational efficiencies it delivers to merchants, particularly in a region where cash-on-delivery remains a dominant payment method.

Fincart's founders have leveraged their personal experiences with the challenges faced by e-commerce businesses to develop a solution that addresses critical pain points such as last-mile delivery inefficiencies and cash reconciliation delays. As the company looks to deepen its market penetration and explore new geographical territories by 2027, it aims to solidify its position as a leading operating system for merchants in the region. Investors have expressed confidence in Fincart's potential, citing the founders' industry expertise and the platform's critical role in enhancing the e-commerce ecosystem in Egypt and beyond.
