Foodics, the Saudi Arabia-based SaaS platform specializing in food and beverage operations, has finalized its acquisition of Greek artificial intelligence firm Norma AI. This move follows an initial investment made in the first quarter of 2025 and aims to bolster Foodics' AI division, which is dedicated to developing advanced solutions tailored for the hospitality industry. Founded by George Henein and Anastasios Anastasiadis, Norma AI is recognized for its innovative data intelligence tools, including the first natural language querying business intelligence platform in the sector launched in 2024. This platform allows restaurant operators to generate insights and custom dashboards using plain language queries, significantly simplifying data accessibility for business users without technical backgrounds.

The integration of Norma's technology into the Foodics platform has already seen adoption across more than 10,000 customer branches, underscoring the demand for enhanced data-driven decision-making capabilities in the restaurant industry. With the acquisition complete, the Norma team will now contribute to Foodics' AI division, focusing on the development of agentic AI solutions that empower restaurant operators with real-time, intelligent decision-making tools. Ahmad AlZaini, Co-founder and CEO of Foodics, emphasized that as the hospitality industry becomes increasingly complex, leveraging data effectively is essential for operational success and profitability.

George Henein, Co-founder of Norma, noted that the merger provides the scale and resources necessary to accelerate the adoption of their technology. By combining Foodics' established market presence with Norma's expertise in AI and analytics, the partnership is poised to set a new standard in hospitality technology, further solidifying Foodics' position as a leader in the MENA region. The acquisition not only enhances Foodics' AI capabilities but also represents a significant step towards its evolution into an AI-native platform, reinforcing its competitive edge in the rapidly growing hospitality sector across the GCC and North Africa.
