Egyptian construction technology startup Kuadra has successfully closed a funding round led by Edafa Venture Capital, aiming to accelerate the launch of what it claims to be the first unified AI-powered platform in Egypt's construction industry. Founded in 2025 by Ahmed Salem, Kuadra focuses on developing AI-driven workflow automation solutions tailored for contractors. The platform is designed to streamline the entire construction project lifecycle, automating processes such as procurement, bid evaluation, and work package allocation, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and decision-making speed.

The new platform promises to significantly reduce the time required for tender reviews, condensing what typically takes days or weeks into mere hours. By automatically generating structured summaries of project requirements, including material specifications and dimensions, Kuadra's technology aims to mitigate human error and facilitate quicker procurement cycles. Despite the construction sector's substantial contribution to Egypt's GDP, it has been slow to embrace digital transformation, an opportunity that Kuadra seeks to capitalize on by embedding industry expertise into its AI workflows.

The fresh capital will not only bolster product development but also enable Kuadra to forge strategic partnerships with major construction firms. Additionally, the company plans to extend its AI capabilities into adjacent sectors, such as oil and gas, as it looks to broaden its footprint in the region. This investment aligns with a growing trend of digital adoption in industries traditionally reliant on manual processes, positioning Kuadra as a key player in the evolving landscape of construction technology in Egypt and beyond.
