The Saudi Venture Capital Company (SVC) has reported a remarkable influx of foreign investment into the Kingdom's private markets, reaching SR20 billion in 2025. This figure represents approximately 60 percent of total private investments in Saudi Arabia, underscoring the Kingdom's growing prominence as a hub for international capital. The SVC's findings highlight the transformative impact of ongoing economic reforms and regulatory enhancements, which have collectively bolstered Saudi Arabia's appeal to global investors. CEO Noura Al-Sorhan emphasized that the Kingdom's private markets are now viewed as a standalone investment destination, attracting nearly 150 investment firms from regions including North America, Europe, and Asia.

Since 2019, foreign private investment has exceeded SR40 billion, reflecting a significant shift in investor sentiment towards the Kingdom's long-term prospects. The report identifies venture capital as the primary conduit for foreign investment, with Saudi Arabia maintaining its status as the largest venture capital market in the MENA region for the third consecutive year. Additionally, private equity activity has diversified, with a notable increase in mid-market transactions, while private debt has emerged as a crucial financing avenue for corporate growth and IPO preparations. The number of foreign investors has surged from 28 in 2019 to 148 in 2025, illustrating a robust expansion of international participation across various sectors, including fintech, healthcare, and logistics.

The report outlines seven key factors that are driving this growth, including macroeconomic stability, modernized regulatory frameworks, and the presence of global investors. These elements are creating a more mature investment landscape, characterized by a structured approach to value creation within the private investment ecosystem. As a result, Saudi Arabia's private investment market is entering a new stage of maturity, marked by broader international engagement and increased asset class diversification. This evolution positions the Kingdom as a vital player in the global investment arena, attracting capital that aligns with its economic transformation goals.
