In a significant address at the 40th meeting of the Islamic Chamber's Board of Directors in Ankara, Abdullah Saleh Kamel, Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD), emphasized the urgent need for enhanced collaboration among Islamic nations. He advocated for a stronger role for the private sector in driving economic growth, highlighting Saudi Arabia's pivotal position in fostering economic cooperation within the Islamic community. Kamel's remarks came during a session that also featured Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and representatives from various member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The discussions included a review of ICCD initiatives aimed at promoting intra-OIC trade and investment, focusing on sustainable entrepreneurship and the empowerment of young entrepreneurs. Key programs discussed included the OIC Arbitration Center and the Islamic Chamber Training Academy, which are designed to bolster the business environment and support private sector development. The meetings also featured panels on innovation, sustainable agriculture, and the importance of empowering both male and female entrepreneurs to achieve sustainable economic growth.
