In a significant move ahead of Saudi Arabia's inaugural World Expo, Expo 2030 Riyadh has established a partnership with Expo 2027 Belgrade to facilitate the exchange of expertise and best practices. The agreement, formalized in Belgrade, aims to enhance operational readiness and event management capabilities for both expos. Representatives from the two organizing bodies will engage in various collaborative initiatives, including site visits and workshops, to share insights on governance, participant management, and digital systems. Talal Al-Marri, CEO of Expo 2030 Riyadh, emphasized the importance of this cooperation in institutionalizing best practices and mitigating organizational risks as preparations for the event intensify. Meanwhile, Danilo Jerinić, Director of Expo 2027 Belgrade, highlighted the legacy of knowledge gained through such international collaborations, which can significantly benefit future global exhibitions. Dimitri Kerkentzes, Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions, remarked on the unique opportunity presented by both countries, as they embark on their first experiences within the Expo framework, reinforcing the mission of promoting international cooperation and driving global progress.
