The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) has officially commenced Phase Four of the Main and Ring Road Axes Program, a significant infrastructure initiative aimed at enhancing the capital's transportation network. This phase, which encompasses four key projects over a total distance of 40 kilometers, is set to accommodate an impressive 950,000 vehicles daily. The total investment for this phase amounts to SR9.8 billion, underscoring the city's commitment to improving urban mobility and connectivity. The projects include Sheikh Jaber Road, Prince Mishal bin Abdulaziz Road, Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz I Road, and Najm Ad-Din Al-Ayyubi Road, each designed to facilitate smoother traffic flow and reduce congestion in the city. Notably, the Sheikh Jaber Road project will extend 12 kilometers from Thumamah Road to Khurais Road, while Najm Ad-Din Al-Ayyubi Road will cover 13 kilometers from Jeddah Road to Hamza bin Abdul Muttalib Street. Additionally, the initiative will introduce 14 main intersections, 33 bridges, six pedestrian bridges, and five tunnels, enhancing the overall infrastructure of Riyadh's road network.
