In a recent report by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT), Saudi Arabia has been recognized as the safest nation among G20 countries, a significant accolade that underscores the Kingdom's commitment to security and stability. The findings reveal that an impressive 97.7 percent of residents feel safe walking alone at night in their neighborhoods, with notable distinctions across demographics. For instance, 97 percent of males aged 15 and above reported feeling safe, while 94.9 percent of adult females echoed similar sentiments. Furthermore, older adults exhibited even higher levels of perceived safety, with 97.2 percent of those aged 60 to 64 feeling secure during nighttime walks, and 89.6 percent of seniors aged 65 and above feeling very safe. This data reflects the effectiveness of government initiatives aimed at enhancing public safety, which are integral to the broader goals of Saudi Vision 2030. GASTAT ensures that its statistical assessments adhere to a unified methodology, aligning with international standards, thereby reinforcing the credibility of its findings.
