The total comprises 1,280,505 establishments and 638,007 companies, highlighting a diverse business ecosystem. Among these, a significant portion reflects the Kingdom's commitment to women's economic empowerment, with women owning 46 percent of active commercial establishments and accounting for 47 percent of new registrations in the quarter.

The report underscores the rapid growth of sectors such as artificial intelligence and tourism, with AI-related registrations soaring by 33 percent year-on-year to 22,591. Cloud computing registrations also saw a remarkable 42 percent increase, indicating a burgeoning tech landscape. E-commerce continues to thrive, with active registrations climbing 23 percent, positioning Saudi Arabia among the top 10 fastest-growing countries in this domain. The tourism sector is experiencing a renaissance, with substantial growth in registrations for resorts, tourist guides, and travel agencies, reflecting a renewed focus on attracting visitors and enhancing the Kingdom's global standing as a tourist destination.

Regionally, Riyadh leads in commercial registrations, followed by Makkah and the Eastern Province, showcasing the geographic distribution of entrepreneurial activity across the Kingdom. This growth is indicative of a shifting economic landscape, where innovation and technology play pivotal roles in driving business development. The increasing number of registrations in diverse sectors points to a vibrant startup culture and a growing appetite for investment in emerging industries.

Overall, these figures represent a significant step towards diversifying the Saudi economy, aligning with the Vision 2030 initiative aimed at reducing dependence on oil revenues. The surge in registrations, particularly in technology and tourism, signals a favorable environment for investors looking to capitalize on the Kingdom's evolving market dynamics and entrepreneurial spirit.
