Saudi Arabia's industrial production has rebounded, recording a notable increase of 5.1% in 2025, as reported by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT). This growth marks a significant turnaround from the declines experienced in 2023 and 2024. The surge was primarily driven by a remarkable 10% rise in environmental and water-related activities, underscoring a growing focus on sustainable industries. Among the various sectors, water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities demonstrated the strongest performance, contributing significantly to the overall industrial growth. Additionally, mining and quarrying activities saw a 5.8% increase, while oil activities expanded by 5.4%. Non-oil activities also showed resilience with a 4.3% growth. Within the manufacturing sector, chemical products stood out as the leading sub-sector, achieving a growth rate of 9.3%, while overall manufacturing activity rose by 3.9%. Other sectors, including electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply activities, increased by 5.2%, with food manufacturing and the production of coke and refined petroleum products also contributing positively to the industrial landscape.
