In a significant boost to its industrial landscape, Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has issued 322 new industrial licenses, bringing the total number of industrial establishments in the Kingdom to 13,660 as of April 2026. This marks an increase from 12,289 in April 2025, underscoring the sector's robust growth trajectory. The new licenses are linked to investments exceeding SR12.33 billion, which are anticipated to create over 2,977 job opportunities across various regions. Additionally, the launch of 188 factories during the same period represents an investment of approximately SR2.01 billion and is expected to generate around 3,606 new jobs. The ministry's report indicates that these industrial establishments encompass all factories that have secured industrial licenses, whether they are currently operational or under construction. The National Center for Industrial and Mining Information continuously updates these figures to reflect the evolving landscape of investments and employment within the sector. Monthly publications of key industrial indicators aim to enhance transparency and monitor the Kingdom's ongoing industrial development, tracking metrics such as new investments, industrial licenses issued, and factories commencing production.
