Simplex, an Egyptian startup specializing in the assembly and manufacturing of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery, has officially inaugurated its second manufacturing facility in 10th of Ramadan City. This new facility, covering 40,000 square meters and backed by a $50 million investment, marks a significant step in the company's expansion strategy. The event was attended by prominent figures from the business and financial sectors, including government officials and international partners, who witnessed the unveiling of the latest CNC machinery and a tour of the facility's advanced production capabilities. Simplex's growth trajectory, which began as a graduation project, has led to its current status as a key player in the regional manufacturing landscape, exporting to 34 countries and generating over $100 million in sales.
In conjunction with the factory opening, Simplex signed partnership agreements in Jordan and Kuwait, further solidifying its regional footprint. The company aims to enhance its international presence and meet the growing demand for high-quality CNC machinery. Co-founders Ahmed Shaaban and Mohamed Mansour emphasized the importance of this expansion in positioning Simplex as a competitive force in the global market. The new facility is expected to create over 1,000 direct jobs and more than 10,000 indirect jobs, contributing to the local economy while supporting Egypt's manufacturing sector.

With 15% of its production currently exported, the company plans to increase this share, driven by its new partnerships and enhanced production capabilities.
