In a significant virtual assembly, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, participated in an extraordinary meeting of the GCC Ministers of Trade and Industry. The session, chaired by Bahrain, was convened to address the directives established by GCC leaders during their 19th Consultative Meeting in Jeddah. Central to the discussions was the imperative to fortify economic integration across the Gulf region and to enhance collaboration within the trade and industrial sectors. Participants delved into the initiatives undertaken by the Supreme Committee at the GCC General Secretariat, evaluating a future action plan designed to be executed in conjunction with member states. This strategic plan aims to formulate recommendations that not only bolster Gulf trade and industrial integration but also reinforce the resilience and interconnectedness of regional supply chains.
